Re: What's the highest can Rotax912UL&Rotax914UL fly?

I used to mix 50/50 Avagas-mogas , mainly for knocking reasons. but I believe on an open Trike w/o cowlings etc. the fuel in the lines stays cool enough..gets even cooler than in the tank as fuellines are exposed to weather.

Hi Stefan
It was a British pilot called Richard Meredith-Hardy who flew a trike solo, but towing an Italian hang glider Pilot over Mt Everest using a 914 engine. I then used the same trike, but with a different wing on it and flew from Moshi over Mt Kilimanjaro with a British Woman microlight pilot who lives in Tanzania. We managed 24,262ft which was, at the time a new official World Record. This has since been beaten, and the new record is just short of 27,00ft flown dual. Quite impressive.
Mark
PS Did the resistors ever turn up?

She is called Eve Jackson. She was the first person to fly a microlight from London to Australia back in the 80's.
She also flew her Shadow from London to Tanzania. She was captured by Rebels. It was Pink and called Gertie. She wrote a book called Gerties day out.
She lives in Dar and works as an aircraft engineer.
