It looks like the gearbox fix may be out.
The new Illustrated Parts Manual for the 912 iS has a oil spray nozzle and different case. I don't recall the original gearbox having an oil spray nozzle.
This would be in line with the increased oil flow to the gearbox that has previously been mentioned.

There are only a few pages in the change. The only changes are in the gearbox. The margin shows the change over the last update. Look at the updated parts including the Prop shaft.
Look at part #29, the oil spray nozzle assembly.
Download the changes only, not the entire manual.

You are correct. I looked at the previous IPC. No spray nozzle.

Can anyone confirm this is the fix? I never got a straight answer at Oshkosh.
