Not sure if Rob actually did a measurement at 4 and 20ma or was relying on Rotax Docs
I went down another path today looking at what other efis manufacturers do.
Efis made by Grand Rapids, TL Elektronic, MGL Avionics, Advanced Flight Systems and Dynon all assume that the honeywell sensor is 0 to 10bar, pn 956413. They also also assert that the keller sensor pn 456180 is electrically the same ( as the rotax docs imply)
ie 0 to 10 bar.
I note that by oil pressure on my 912ULS at 4800rpm 26" map is 65psi measured assuming 0 to 10bar, ie current skyview setting.
If the setting was 0.75 to 10.75 bar, my actual oil pressure would show 76psi, 3 psi above the rotax max at cruise.
A bit suspicious.
So if Dynon are wrong, so are a whole lot of others.
Not sure the next step apart from an actial pressure test; might see if Wal from Bert Flood can shed any more light.
Hi Doug,
I also use Floods for my local Rotax parts as I'm only 15 minutes away. (Kilsyth, VIC).
Let me know if Wal has ever tested the calibration. FYI, my aircraft is a microlight trike, 912UL, YLTV (Latrobe Valley).

After a few oil pressure sensor failures (Honeywell) per the Dynon Sky view install manual I moved the sensor to the firewall to eliminate the vibration and the latest sensor has gone over 300 hours, seems to have solved the problem. A vibration related issue?
Many have remote mounted their oil pressure senders out off and away from engine vibration with good results. That said Honeywell did have some of its own issues and may have been exacerbated by the vibration?
