Without a number plate, it's unlikely we can determine the year of manufacture. Does the gearbox have a visible serial number? 503s were popular engines- but they are pretty ancient, and there was never a lot of "details" published about them to begin with. If you post some good pictures of it ( top, front, side) then somebody might be able to chime in with some clues...
