I have seen this on the vintage of 582 you have.Try this:Start the engine cold.Run it for the same amout of time you normally would.Shut it down.Unplug the green/white plug at the ignition boxes on the side of the engine.They should read between 87 and 89k ohms between the green and white wires at the plug going towards the Ducati boxes.Any resistance outside of these parameters indicates a ignition box failing under heat.Have seen this more than once on 618's also.
Thanks, but first I needed to replace the piston and cylinders becaused the engine had seized. We also found out that the seals leaked. I'm thinking that when this is repaired totaly, I will have a new engine
If detonation was present,then timing could be the issue to the hard start problem...Any wear on the tops of the pistons or near the first compression ring?
