Did you find a replacement clutch William?
Or cleaned up and re-set the original?

Has moly or any friction modifier oil ever been used? That would explain why the clutch is slipping.
I would replace the clutch, if the moly is embedded in the sintered bronze or steel discs I doubt any amount of cleaning will get it out.
I'm interested in what oil has been used too.

Interested to find out if there was ever any resolution to this issue? I have experienced very similar problems and looking to find the solution?
