Totally depends on the storage conditions. The 912 is not prone to corrosion but if the oil was not changed before it was put away it could have water and acids in the oil. Remove the crankcase oil sump ports and inspect the cam/lifters, that will tell you a story. Then remove the exhaust pipes and see if the exhaust port and exh valve have corroded.
If the exposed surface area of the propshaft has a thick layer of rust that tells you the preservation procedure was not done.
