Have you checked the resistance of the coils incase something has fallen into the magneto while the engine was running and attached itself to a magnet and damaged the coils, or the earth wires. If you look in the heavy maintenance manual it gives you all the resistance values. It would be worth studying the diagrams and values then getting a multimeter and checking them all. I will not accept that both modules have "burnt out" together, they are completely independent.

Hello:

Is there a way to investigate the serial number of my ecb when they were installed in a factory?
maybe with the engine serial number?

in order to eliminate the possibility that somebody has changed the units without my permission .

I don't think they have a serial number on them so they could not be linked to your engine. You can buy two new modules with the soft start built in for around £400 for two.
