I had a mechanic spend 5 hours trying to do a prop balance on my 182 and it was a bad spark plug the whole time.

So did you pay him for the five hours or did you come to an agreement?

The next day I realized the airplane had a different vibration so I removed the weight of the spinner backplate and changed the plugs. Problem solved. I called him let him know and left it at that. He was just out of school so I let it go as others had cut me a break in my younger days. I think you have a good argument though either ya know what your doing or ya don't.

Thanks was gonna ask that. What is the typical price at flymart?
I have paid anywhere from $25 to $150 each.
if the needle vibrates remove the fitting and you will see an adjustment screw inside; turn clockwise to add more damping.
