One of the stator leads was arcing at the terminal with the Ducati rectifier regulator, burnt and melted.
i now have a new one.
still cannot get any new boxes from the Australian Rotax distributor, so aircraft collecting dust in the hangar.

Have you looked at the Ignitech boxes?
Common view in the UK is that they are superior to the Rotax ones, at a far lower cost.

It looks like this discussion about using a heating gun on the ignition modules to help start the Rotax 912 ULS engine is 12 years old!
Since we are having the same problem now (January 2024) in Italy, I wonder if any solution has been found by somebody?
Would appreciate very much any hints.
