Mike,

Did some measuring with the dimensions you sent and the frontal area your radiators are actually larger than the Rotax radiators. This lends even more credence to Nick's idea about radiator blockage.

It is a small thing, but you might also use a wooden or plastic pick and open up all the cooling fins on the rad that have been bent by bugs and things hitting them.

Thanks Bill and George, appreciate you guys hangin in with me on this one. I am surprised my Rads are smaller than the Rotax ones... was hoping it was the other way around, so now I have no way to make them larger. I will do exactly as you suggested and have them reco'd

George, thanks also for the pics... now I just gotta work out how to do that for mine. :dry:

Mike in Bills post he says your rads are larger than they need to be....not smaller.

As to it loosing RPM...maybe its down on compression and not delivering its full hp due to it needing a de-coke,

When was it last de-coked....in fact a guy I know was telling me a few weeks ago that if the piston rings are gummed up with carbon in the pistons groves....this can lead to overheating...as the rings may not be contacting the cylinder walls correctly...and not transferring heat effectively,

I'm not sure if that can be the case but maybe its worth thinking about...have you checked the compressions...or how does it feel turning the prop by hand against compression.

Nick, it was more of a typo than thinking mine was smaller, thanks for pointing it out though.

I have not checked the compression because I don't have the instruments, but the prop seems hard to push on each stroke so I am guessing it is ok...right? I will look around to see if I can get someone to check with an instrument. I think thats a great point and would explain the high temps as well like you said.
