It may be best to take the Rotax course for the 912 carb rebuild or at the very least take them to someone that is an IRMT and help them. If you need to have it done soon myself and others here can do them for you.
Also when ordering what people call a 912 rebuild kit make sure what you are getting. All the dealers have something different and call them rebuild kits. Some only supply the "O" rings. Some include the "O" rings, Diaphragm, jets, needles, float valve w/viton tip. I would do it all and not waist my time tearing into the cab for just the "O" rings. Remember other parts in the carbs move and rub. So you can do 75% job or a 100% job that will last years. Kit and labor prices will vary , especially labor so shop around.

Roger,
I am guessing your based in the states. For me, this site is to help me do the jobs myself, but to do them properly. Its a shame the Rotax courses are so expensive in the uk otherwise I think many more people would take them. Thanks for the advice, I will probably do as you say.
I hope they decide to make a video as the same could be said to take a rotax course to rebuild the 2 stroke carbs.
I live in West Wales UK, and there is no anyone I know local to me that could do the job, but I really want to do it myself.
thanks
Dai
