I consider buying airplane with Rotax 912 ULS-2, serno 4428646, constructed 2003.
1. But what denotes "-2"? Is a ULS or a ULSFR? Makes a big difference for this serial number, since it will be either over or under the extended TBO according to SB-912-041UL R2.
2. What is the actual quality/parts difference between these engines?
3. Engine will be over 12 years in any event. In Sweden, for "Experimental" registry airplanes, these engines are allowed to run beyond the 10 or 12 year calendar TBO, if they meet "normal" wear criteria, including corrosion inspection every five years. What is anyones comment on this, please?
