Hi Alan, was your engine serial number within the ranges that were possibly affected?  My serial number is 9144585--not in the ranges on the SB--I believe that means that the SB does not apply to my engine.  I spoke with Dean at Lockwood and he said he would look at the photos even though my engine appears to be exempt from the SB.

Yes, my S/N is 10000912.

I need to replace the Expansion Tank ASSY for the SB 912i-015is, and I am curious whether the cost of the part is free or paid. Additionally, I have heard that this information is mentioned in the SB document, but I am unable to find it. I would appreciate your assistance.

If your expansion tank assembly is affected by SB 912i-015iS, please contact your local Rotax distributor or Rotax service center to request an exchange.

In the certified version of the SB, refer to Section 2 - Material Information, Subsection 2.2 - Company Support Information, which states:

• Any possible support by BRP-Rotax will be provided on request by ROTAX® Authorized Distributors or their independent Service Centers.

• This exchange program and cost-sharing option is valid until December 31, 2025. Up to this date, limited reimbursement of costs may be applied for.

• Shipping costs, downtime costs, loss of income, telephone costs, costs of conversion to other engine versions, or additional work (such as simultaneous engine overhauls) are NOT covered under this program and will not be reimbursed by ROTAX®.
