In the case of Liqui Moly, I suspect that "Rotax engines" is a reference to off-road vehicles, not aircraft, and that if asked about aircraft, their response would mirror that of NGK.
No not exactly. First the oil producer is European, not from Japan. The legal climate is not at all the same. Liqui Moly actually makes this oil with a bottle showing and stating it meets their approval for use in Rotax. The MSDS tells me it is their full synthetic motorcycle oil for high RPM engines and wet clutch.

The graphics on the bottle actually show a Rotax 912 and the text also clearly says “Rotax 912 and 914”. From that perspective there is no doubt. However, I had no clue until the other day and was surprised to notice. Someone with practical experience out there?
Would the use of full synthetic oil such as XPS versus Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 change the service intervals for the oil system on the 912 i Series? For example, the time interval between oil changes.
