If you can't move what's rubbing on the hose then put a spacer in there so they can't touch and then make sure it is secured. All the planes I do rubber changes on there are many that touch and rub somewhere so I just make sure to keep these areas from touching.

Just a note. You can protect tight areas of hose by cutting up one of your old ones. Be sure to clean the bit of any residual coolant and I like to buff off the inside of the old hose with some sandpaper also. Use a super glue, cyanoacrylate instant adhesive.
This is the recommended method with clearing a hydraulic governor where you have contact to the sharp edge of the hose. The old hose bit will be a sacrificial bumper and protect your coolant line. This is standard on the type 914 just under where the governor would fit. I attached a bit of the IPC picture with a note.
Cheers

Thank you very much. Between this and Jeff’s suggestions I’m confident I can eliminate this issue. I believe it’s rubbing on the air box, but will confirm when I pull the hose.
