We are maintaining one Tecnam P2008JC aircraft fitted with a Rotax engine ROTAX 912S2-01.
As per Rotax Engine Manual chapter 05-20-00 checking the propeller gear box at 1000 hours inspection. and also we have one another engine that's complete 2000 hours and due for overhaul.
We have question about the can we remove the gearbox from the 2000 hour completed engine. and what are we perform on the gearbox 1000 hours inspection or overhaul the gearbox.
kindly give the valuable suggestion on this matter.

that was possibly accidental multiple clicks on the 'save' button exacerbated by a really slow internet connection. You only need to click once, but depending on network conditons, you might need to be patient! I have cleaned up the other six posts :)
My impression is that whether it's allowable to swap gearboxes will depend on your local Aviation Authority, since -S2 implies a fully certificated aircraft. Here in the USA, one is free to put used components on other engines *if* they have been overhauled and approved by a properly-licensed facility. We call those "yellow-tagged" parts. I haven't a clue how this works in other countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aviation_parts_tag
If you did make a swap remember the small gear on the end of the crankshaft and the large gear in the gearbox are a matched set and MUST be kept together.
