I do and I have a 912uls. I bring the idle to 1800rpms then drop one mag, wait about 3 seconds then turn it off.

Hi Dennis,

One good think who work very well for me is, at the moment you shuttdown the engine is to pull the throttle back to full idle, that will avoid stress on the gear box and you will have an almost non noisy stop of your engine.

I switch No1 circuit off first to check that No2 circuit is working fine. I then switch it back on and switch No 2 circuit off to check that No 1 is working. Finally I switch off No1 again. If I have a problem circuit then I've got until the next flight to fix it, rather than finding out on the apron when about to go flying!
