Unacceptable gearbox wear

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 6 years ago
I have been seeing engines lately with unacceptable gearbox wear (in the dog gear). So far, these have all been using Aeroshell Sport 4 oil. I have never seen a problem with the gearbox using Mobile 1 4T oil. I would like to hear from anyone who has seen the wear, and what oil was used.
