Planning to start a 912ULS that has been sitting in a hangar for a year. Last fuel in tank was a mixture of 2/3 parts Ethanol Free 90 octane & 1/3 part 100LL avgas
Will first be draining ALL existing fuel from aircraft and replacing with fresh. Then removing and cleaning carb bowls. Any other suggestions such as removing spark plugs and pre-oiling cylinders?
Once the bowls are removed turn the pump on or let it gravity drain to flush fuel lines/system with the new fuel.
Maybe just a little. Mine sat for about a year with the new SWIFT fuel and all I did wash flush the lines and carb bowls. After running the motor the compression was perfect with almost 400 hours on a 2009 engine last August.
