I have removed the throttle arm, carb top, diaphragm, slide and and starter carb control arm, so as to remove the carb without removing the drip tray and rubber carb mount flange. I have not noticed any change in sync after reinstalling.

Hi Bob,

The only connection on the throttle arm is at the 11mm nut on the exterior. The diaphragm is attached to the piston (slide) inside and once the top is off just lifts out as once piece.

Hi Bob,
the metal bracket on the side of the top of the carb is where the sync adjustments are made. on my cable setups , these adjustment nuts and cable housing are solid once adjusted and the lock nuts tightened. So I remove the two springs,throttle and starter carb. both cable arms, throttle and starter carb, then the top of the carb still connected to the cables and with the throttle and starter carb arms dangling.
