Hi,
it is an inline tranducer, but it has a selection of 4 jets that you size for the required fuel flow. It is to make the calibrated range of the EFIS to suit the fuel flow and to make it more accurate. (see attached document)
I do have a filter installed before the sender, the main filter.
I will defiantely have a look here first and remove the jet.

OK, everything is becoming clear. I suspect the jet in the fuel flow sender. In the sender manual it indicates that the fuel can expand at the impeller if the demand is more than the jet can handle.
What I find is that the fuel flow indication becomes very erratic when I switch on the electric backup pump. Theoretically there should be no change in indicated fuel flow for either mechanical pump or electric pump.
This my number 1 suspect, but to make sure I will check the complete fuel supply system, from tank to carbs.

I would not use that fuel flow system.

Don't know, Shadin makes good stuff. I think others such as EI use the Shadin transducers?
As long as it is the wheel type and a good brand name it should be good.
