Last time I found, that in Ikarus C-42 voltage regulator (rotax) is in the cabin, under main panel. I'm curious - it's common practice? It's not increasing interferences?
Van's aircraft for the RV-12 has a bulletin out that allows owners to place the reg/rec on the inside of the panel. I have seen a few other aircraft like that to. Not sure on the affects. May not be bad so long as it isn't by other wires like the radio wires.
