Voltage Regulator Light

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 12 years ago
What is likely cause of regulator light coming on at low RPM but only while engine is hot. Never used to happen no matter how low the RPM. Goes out when you increase RPM about 300rpm. Battery volt gauge remains normal all the time.

    Hi Robert,

    This can be normal depending on a few things. It may be caused by the the electrical draw on your system, reg/rec health, electrical component health, too low an idle rpm a loose connection, ect...
