Yes you are right with that. I have used my engine 15 years and 1200 hours. It is 80 hp UL. For me the problem appears only with cold engine in relative cold weather. (some plus degrees Celsius). When i preheat the engine it does not shake.
How cold is cold?
There is a video here on the forum that shows the effects of cold starts. If you live in cold country where starts are in the 20F's and below on a regular basis then engine
pre-heating is a good idea. This may be the only problem, but other issues may be adding on. I happen to live in a warm climate, but have friends with morning temps down in the single digits. They use a Tanis pre-heater and all swear by it for smooth quick and easy starts.
