    Walt,
What did you do with the small yellow wire that was attached to the VR? Did disconnect it at the D-sub connector?

This is an update to the original post I made. I did go with the B&C voltage regulator. I think it is a great piece of kit. My Ducati VR was mounted under the copilot panel. After discussion with TJ at B&C I decided to put it in the same place. There was not enough room to mount the capacitor next to the VR so I mounted it on top of the VR in the vacant space next to the glove box. B&C thought that it was a good solution and they thought the little fan next to the capacitor would be enough airflow. The B&C VR has a very neat feature in that if it overheats, it will reduce the voltage by one volt and gradually bring it back up if when it cools off. I think I will be able to get the Skyview to alert me if it does in fact do that.
AS Walt said, it seems to be quality product with cool features and the technical support was outstanding.
After a couple of hours in the air, it is working great.

    Thanks for everyone's help.

I was going to make the same recommendation. I have a B & C on my 912UL and it has worked great for 5 years.
