You can get the gear oil at any auto parts store. They all have several different brands. Just check the type specifications on the container. I use the Mobil 85W-140 EP but any major brand meeting the specs will work.
Just remove the fill bolt on top of the gearbox and the LOWER of the two bleed screws in the side of the gearbox. Pour in enough oil so that it just begins to come out of the hole where you removed the screw on the side. It will hold less than 8 ounces.
