I'm sure others are wondering the same thing.
Karma is an individual's way of giving or taking away their approval for someone else's behavior. If you think someone is doing a good job on the forum and being supportive, helping others and not being overtly confrontational then you might click on the plus karma for that person to let them know you think they are doing a good job or that they are being over all supportive of the forum.
Conversely if an individual is being too confrontational, overtly negative towards other people or generally not working well with other forum members you can click on the negative karma to let them know. So karma can go up and down and I don't know that it has a huge bearing for us, but it is a way for individuals on our forum to voice their opinion and to show someone they are helping or being a big detractor.
Did that answer your question?
p.s.
Thank You's can also be added for people that help answer your questions. If someone helps you solve and issue you can click on a Thank You tab to let them know. ;)
There isn't enough help and politeness in todays world so everything helps foster our togetherness on our forum and encourages people to help others. :)
