Rotax 914 applicable ADs

So now I want to do SB-914-011 because this would seem wise, even though I intend to purge the oil system properly when the time comes.

I have purchased the special tool that enables me to compress the valves to replace the valve cotters and now I want to purchase the parts.

My local dealer in New Zealand cannot seem to be able to buy the parts for around 6 months and I would like to be able to move on, so I am looking online again.

Leading Edge Airfoils (USA) sold me the valve compression tool, which I just purchased online - all good.

Now the problem that I hope someone can help with.

SB-914-011 has a list of parts including the valve cotters but Leading Edge Airfoils do not list this part (253.090) but instead list a different part number for valve cotters (253.092) - Is this the same ? Emails to Leading Edge Airfoils have gone unanswered for some time, even with follow-up. Does anyone know if they are still in business with Covid ?

I just want to buy the complete list of parts for an engine that is still being manufactured, but this seems difficult, can anyone offer advice ?

Yes, Leading Edge is still going strong.  I just got a paper catalog from them and I have ordered a few things from them in the past year.  They are pretty responsive by telephone, if that is an option for you.

You might also try Lockwood, in Florida.  They have always been very helpful with regard to all things Rotax

I am not certain what is going on with your particular part numbers, but I believe that when a part is superseded by a better version, the old part becomes unavailable and the new part is given a number where the last digit (or so) has a slightly higher value than the old one.

The 253092 are the currently available parts.
The 253090 parts are listed as N.A. (Not Available) and S.V. (Still Valid)

You can use the 090 parts if you can find them but you will only find the 092 version in dealer stock.

SB-914-011 was published in 2001; 20 years ago.
The Cotters were upgraded in 2016; 5 years ago.

My engine is indeed a 20 year old engine which has not been started yet. I am working through the ADs (equivalent) for the UL version which my engine is and this is one that is market "Mandatory" so I think I should do this.
