You got it Rich, make sure the plastic film is smooth, if there a wrinkle there's a good chance it will be in the RTV, I think the hardest part is getting the 3/32 bead, there can be more because it gets trimmed but it's nice to only trim a little bit, I think you'll be happy with the results.

Thanks for the information regarding curing the rocker box leaks. Is this a common problem with the 912/914?

Did you have any succes with this method Richard? Did you cut a hole in the cling film to accommodate the valve gear and perhaps minimise the wrinkles?

Dennis, if you cut strips you don't have to worry about the valve gear, doing this also makes it a LOT easier to control.
