You're not looking for something with sharp cutting threads that removes material. The spark plug hole chase reshapes the threads and doesn't have the sharp cutting tap and all the shavings that go with it. You're not trying to remove material. Look at the thread chaser in the attachment in my post. You'll see the plug chaser has a more rounded type thread that does more reshaping and not cutting all new threads. You should lube the chase to.
p.s.
I word for the wise. Never force a plug in. If it starts to bind up STOP. Take it out and either re-align it or clean the hole threads.If you just have garbage in the threads you can use the plug chase to clean the hole threads.
