Ignition System

I have a mag drop on my 912 engine. The ignition system is housed in a Silver (ALI) box which I understand is an Equinox system no longer available.
If I change the "Box" for the modern system, will it be compatible with the stator etc ?

Yes. it does take some work.
- the lid and box will need to be trimmed/modified for the bigger secondary wires.
-Put a good ground strap directly from the coil brackets to airframe grd,
-eliminate the P-lead capacitors and use shielded wires.
