I know this is an old thread, but I'm going to install the thermostasis and was looking for the 205f model and aircraft spruce only has the 190f model I believe.The RV 12 kits only have the 190f model also
Seems to me that the 205f model would suit the rotax better.
Anyone know why they did away with the 205 model?

Hi Mike. I have recently purchased a used model of your Thermostasis. It looks a little different from a newer style. Could you please let me know if there are any precautions about using it ?

As a promoter of the KISS principal in all matters, I would ask why you feel that adding significant cost, complexity & weight to a light sport aircraft is desirable, when a simple low cost piece of oil cooler/radiator blocking material, will do the job for you???
PS Don't feel you must reply - the human drive to go down this sort of rout is inexplicable.

I installed the Thermostasis along with the large oil cooler and it was the best thing I ever did to my plane. 4 years and a few hundred hours oil temperature problems are no longer an issue.

Does this combined installation seem like a contradiction?
Thermostatic (oil thermostat) to speed heating (engine warm up) & maintained the oil temperature within the desired/recommended operating range (keep warm in cold ambient temperatures).
Installing a larger oil cooler who's purpose is to cool oil more effectively (make colder) than the last smaller oil cooler.
