Do not use anti seize , but thermal paste. Use the thermal heat paste that is recommended in the Rotax line maintenance manual . use the described method ,and torque to 177 inlbs cold. there might be an instruction video on this site as well.
Anti seize is old school. It is used to help prevent galling of the threads, but has no other real benefit. The thermal; paste will help sync the heat between the head and plug by about 40+ degrees. This will also help stave off detonation. The paste is silicone based. It will also help protect the plug threads, but has the added thermal transfer properties. Just apply the paste on approximately the top 1/2 of the plug. Remember here a little is more. DO NOT goup it on. Just a light coating as it is shown in the video. As you screw it in it will spread.
