I have loads of floats that failed/sunk. In fact almost every aircraft I have inspected, five 912 to be exact in trikes and airplanes, and ALL have had failed floats. This is a big problem.
Just orderd the new ones, version 4, which just came in are supposed to be the latest and greatest. Hopefully these new ones will work.

I've lost count of how many I've replaced in flying my machine 2,700 hrs. No doubt thousands of dollars worth! Anyone making the claim this isn't a significant problem is delusional...or trying to put lipstick on a pig.

Another symptom, in addition to rough idling is flooding on start-up--after a hot engine has been sitting for a few minutes in hot weather. I just went through this and fixed it with new floats. The two old ones were overweight.

Hi All reading the December 2020 carb float notice I see the floats marked 'B' need to be replaced. done the bottom of page it looks like they may be ok in service if pass the weight test.
I have ordered new 'R' floats and should get them tomorrow or next week. The replacement service finished in December 2021. Bugger I didn't find this out until a week ago. My engine is a 912 ULS2 100hp with 301 hours TTIS.
Just keen tom know if the 'B' ones are ok still to use if don't sink.
