exhaust muffler

i have a safari LSA which has just arrived from south Africa. the engine is less than 50 hours since new. the exhaust muffler has cracks on it at various points. is there a warranty for this or has anyone noticed this problem?

    Sorry for your problem.


    Rotax does not supply welded up mufflers. The Mfg of the Safari did all the welding and responsible for warranty. Usually cracks are caused because they failed to stress relieve the weld points and or installed the muffler and exhaust under tension. The cracks can be welded and repaired and due to your location might even be easier.
