I know of several owners that had this oil tank increase and they found diesel in the oil when they tested it. The fuel they got at a pump was cross contaminated from the delivery driver not flushing is tank dump piping before dumping the next load.
probably should have tested the oil in the oil tank verses the main fuel tanks. You would have had a small sample and their sample could be different depending on where and when they took the sample.
As Rob said it could come from a different source.
