It is very obvious to me the seal is "toast" as well as everything else on the water pump.
The last picture of the broken wire with the crimped end came from the last wrap of the wire inside of the flex hose without a doubt.

Roger, I will check the seal. Any tips to do that better??
Dale, why do you suppose the seal is [quote] "toast" as well as everything else on the water pump[/quote] if the wire came from the hose and the water pump blades are good. The water pump housing will obviously be replaced.

Is it an aircraft manufacturer supplied hose or Rotax or homebuilt/owner supplied?
