Oh yes YOU CAN.
Diamond does in in the certified DA20-A1 to fit the Bosch fuel pressure sensor/switch with 1/8NPT to the Rotax fuel manifold block with M10 threads.
it threads in easily for 3 turns then starts to get tight, just like pipe thread is supposed to. Use loctite 243 and you will have no problem.

No doubt you can, but it is the most ridiculously wrong way to assemble anything mechanical it is laughable.
It will go in about 3 turns before it tightens, but not for the reasons it should tighten. It will be tightening because you are screwing two completely different threads together that are different pitches, one tapered and one parallel and different thread forms.
PLEASE, if anyone reads this, DO NOT take any notice of what Rob is saying. Do not use 1/8 NPT and M10x1 threads together, it could/ will end in tears.

Maybe we should ground all the certified aircraft that have been doing this for 20+ years with absolutely no problem?

Maybe someone with some engineering background needs to look into this then, especially when you can use an adapter to facilitate both threads.
