Soft Start wiring?

I am getting ready to replace my ignition modules with the new ones with soft start. Can anyone tell me what size wire to use from the modules to the relay, I have less that 2 feet distance between the two. I cannot find it in the manuals.

Hi Brent,

The wire size doesn't need to be any thing special. Just make it the same size as the wires on the module pin connectors. All they are doing is sending an electrical signal to the module.

Roger is correct, the wires do not carry any load so 20 gauge is OK.

Thank you for your help. I got the new boxes wired, now just waiting for the rain to quit to test them out.

I think, it's necessary to replace flying wheel to (if you replacing whole boxes for rotax original).

No, The new flywheel is an option. It can be installed by itself to improve starting OR in combination with the Advanced Start Moduals (ASM) modules to make a much improved starting process.
Installing the ASM modules without the new flywheel is OK and does improve the start-up.
