Rotax had stupid idea with this kind of alarm...
Maybe anybody have old, maybe broken flydat? I wonder about reading memory chip. It it's not locked I think that it's possible to read chip and find way to reprogram it.
I have old flydat but I still use it in plane so I can't risk damage.

Hi,
I have the same issue of reseting the Flydat memory to get rid of the Service! message. I do not want to take out the unit and send it for service overseas (I live in Brazil). Did you had any progress in finding out how to reset the memory of the unit?
