submerged 912s engine

have recovered a 912s engine that has been submerged in fresh water for 5 days...has anyone out there had experience in resurrecting a engine with similar circumstance?

The information on how to deal with this is in the manuals. It will get you started and headed in the right direction. Whatever you do, do it quickly and don't let it sit with water and moisture internally or it will cause sever corrosion. You will need someone like an IRC or a distributor to inspect this and make sure you have no internal issues, both mechanical and electrical.
