Please check your engine log for the correct serial number (or look at the engine serial number plate).
ROTAX aircraft engines have a seven digit serial number (no alphanumeric, just digits)

hello, I have just baught a ROTAX 912; I see various numbers on the engine, but I wonder which one is the really serial number; can you help me ?

The location of the serial number plate is indicated in Section 1.1 of the Operators Manual:
