I heard some have gone 3500 on the 80hp UL model. Does your motor have the oil pressure relief part upgrade? TBO service bulletin SB-912-057.

After reading this document 100 times, I should be able to translate it to plain english. This is new territory to me, but everything I need to know is there, I am sure. Thank you!
3500 hr on 80 HP engine is unbelievable!!! I am sure for 100 HP with higher compression this number will be much lower. But with good care I can hope to get to 2000 - 2500 hr for sure.

4427612 was produced 13-Nov-2001
Engine Type: ROTAX 912 ULS
Engine Version: 912 ULS2
Model Number: 309120110
If all the required retrofits were done, then it was 'eligible' for a TBO extension up to 15 years / 2000 hours "WHICHEVER COMES FIRST" - but even then, as of November 13th, 2016 it was officially due for overhaul.
(If the TBO-extension-retrofits were not noted in your log book, then the TBO due date was back in 2013...)
The calendar time is important (not just the running hours!) - "rust never sleeps" &etc...
