Many of the owners having trouble with ignition modules in the UK are sending theirs for repair to a company in the Netherlands.

Repair prices are a fraction of the cost of a new unit and I have not heard of an unsuccessful repair. If you are outside of the EU then there will be import tax to pay but they are quick (several days turnaround) and you would be up and running quickly.

I had also a problem with both CDI´s in an engine with only 160 total hrs, I sent my two CDI´s to CARMO ELECTRONICS in the Netherlands a guy told me that they make the CDI´s for a lot of motorcycle companies including Ducati and they make the CDI for the Rotax aircraft engine too.
Now my plane is flying super and it starts at the first try, this company have a excellent customer service!!
BTW I don´t have any connection with this company, I am just a very happy customer!

Now I installed a ceramic insulation mat between the CDI modules and the engine block and they run a lot cooler.
