what year type 247 rotax

hi,
i've got an old elan snowmachine pieced together and want to find what year the engine is. the rotax serial # is 3001662. can i tell from this what year this 'type 247' engine is? thx!

Being this is a snowmobile engine, it isn't likely you will find your answer on this forum! If you contact any BRP Snowmobile Dealer they should be able to help you out. The single cylinder Rotax aircraft engine is a 277 model.
