Pretty complex files. The log viewer helps to diagnose issues. I've seen it, I just created custom Excel files to troubleshoot since Rotax doesn't make it available.
Yes you are correct. Rotax has put a restriction on the log viewer. It is not easy to use and it is not intuitive. For sure some can download it to an excel file, not me however. I am a borderline idiot with computer programs. The BUDS will create a log file but they are saying a special program will be available to learn to use the log viewer starting later this year.
It has not been for the lack of asking on the service side. With luck the new program viewer will be documented within the heavy manual in the future also.
