Diode across the starter solenoid ?

Is a diode needed across the started solenoid in a 915 install, or is the protection already inside the ECU ?

    Peter I installed a fast acting diode across a 915 install that I performed. A pair of diodes across one another wont cause an issue in this application.

    I have also attached the relevant section in the Rotax manual.
