My Sonex project is progressing nicely and I'm close to engine purchase time. The factory engine mount is a bed style. What can of worms would I open trying to adopt a 915 or 914 to a bed mount? Is it as simple as a custom exhaust manifold, turbo mount and plumbing for the intake air charge? Would it be better to modify the engine mount to a ring configuration? Or should I stick with a naturally aspirated 912?

I'm curious as well. Did you end up figuring out a way to put in a 914 on a bed mount? Haven't seen many threads on the topic.

The Sonex bed mounts were flawed, they released a new version this year. I have settled on a 912iS and I'm getting interference with the mount where the oil line bung is. I guess the ULS and iS are different in that respect. Check out sonexbuilders.net, there is a good thread on the topic of mounts.
