Econ mode setting 912IS with airmaster constant speed prop

When Glen Martin stated that max torque is at 5000 RPM, he was referring to the iS-Sport engine.  The the torque of the Sport engine drops off after 5000 RPM, whereas the torque continues to build through 5500 RPM on the standard iS engine.  What engine does the OP have? If we are talking about the Sport version, then 5000 RPM is smack dab in the middle of the power curve.

My first delivery flight planned for 700nm

Just a suggestion – you're certainly free to do as you like – but I would not embark immediately on a 700 nm cross-country with a brand new (or even just "new to me") airplane.  I'd fly an hour or so in the vicinity of the delivery airport, then land, remove the cowling, and look everything ever very thoroughly, looking for leaks, etc.  Far better to find them at the delivery point, than to find them after you land at your new home...  Even the best mechanics (and factories) occasionally miss something!

Just my two cents worth (less the Covid 2 cent discount) – and worth every penny...  ?
